Service Description
Join me for a 90 minute yoga and gong relaxation session, at the beautiful Iveridge Hall, Oulton. Just off J30 of the M62. The perfect way to unwind and self nurture; 45 minutes of gentle yoga, followed by 45 minutes of sound relaxation. During this session, we will focus on Venus, the ancient Roman Goddess of love and beauty. The planet Venus is often called the Earth’s sister, as it is similar in size and has a similar composition to Earth. Venus is known for it’s exceptional brightness; being the third brightest object in our solar system, after the Sun and Moon. Venus is the only planet named after a Goddess. Immerse yourself in this sound relaxation session as I play my Venus gong; a beautiful gong with depth and character, made specially from the Paiste Planet series. Planet gongs are tuned into the natural harmonics of the Earth, Moon, Sun, and other planets according to the calculations of Hans Cousto. In 1978 Hans Cousto discovered the Natural Law of the Cosmic Octave, and was able to transfer molecular frequencies into tempo, frequency and colour frequencies. Close your eyes, relax and allow the vibrations of sound wash over you. I will be using music, frame drum, ocean drum, Himalayan singing bowls, crystal bowls, Earth gong, Venus gong, and various percussion instruments. This is deeply relaxing and allows the body to return to homeostasis, where natural healing can take place. The added benefits are often better sleep, and a feeling of relaxation and rejuvenation. Cost £20 Why not make a day of it and book some nurturing spa treatments at Iveridge Hall; https://www.iveridge.co.uk/iveridge-health-club-spa-garden.html Contraindications It is not recommended that you attend sound relaxation if any of these apply; - If you are in the first 3 months of pregnancy - If you have epilepsy, seizures or an ‘unmanaged’ mental health condition (such as bi-polar, schizophrenia, or any form of complex trauma) - Severe heart conditions You may be more sensitive to Sound Therapy If you have metal plates, have had recent surgery, broken bones or other major physical injuries, have a pacemaker, or if you suffer from tinnitus.
