Sound  Therapy

My Sound Therapy background and training.

The first time I experienced the relaxing effects of a gong was at the Yoga Mandala Ashram in Wales, in 2008. I can remember how deeply relaxed I felt and thought how amazing it must be to have a job playing gongs.

Over the years I found various sound relaxation sessions to attend and absolutely loved the calming and rejuvenating effect they had on my whole system.

In 2021, I completed a number of online courses; Sound Therapy Diploma Course, Sound Therapy & Sound Healing Accredited Practitioner Course, Sound Healing Pro Course Part 1, Sound Healing Pro Course Part 2, and Singing for Sound Healing & Ceremonies.

In 2022, I completed a Certificate in Sound Healing with Craig Eddington of The Sound Therapy Company.

In 2022 I started delivering group sound relaxation sessions for the public, and in 2023 was invited to deliver sessions for NHS staff through their Recovery College. I still continue these today and I absolutely love my job.

Sound Relaxation Sessions; what to expect.

Just bring a yoga mat, pillow and blanket; whatever you need to feel comfortable and relaxed lying down for an hour. You can even bring a favourite reclining garden chair if you prefer. All you have to do is listen to the hypnotic sounds and notice the blissful vibrations of the instruments as they wash through the body. The brain waves start to slow down, often taking us into an altered state similar to deep meditation. This is where the body can return to homeostasis and allow natural healing to take place. There are many benefits as a result, some of which are better sleep, a calmer body and mind, and a general feeling of relaxation and rejuvenation.

Please ensure you read the contraindications before booking. You can read these by clicking on any of the events listed under 'book online.'

Instruments I play may be all or some of the following; shamanic drums, Himalayan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, various gongs, ocean drum, chimes, crystal pyramid, various percussion instruments, and shakers.

Session Times

I offer regular 1 hour sound relaxation sessions, and occasional 90 minute sessions around Leeds; the current locations are listed below. To check availability, please go to 'book online.'
