In 2005 I began chanting with my chanting teacher Howard Crosthwaite and my dear chanting friend Kathryn Palmer. In 2018 I began chanting with my meditation and chanting teacher Zeenat Cameron. Through group and individual chanting, I have enjoyed Vedic chanting, as well as chanting The Yoga Sutras, The Bhagavad Gita, and The Upanishads.

In 2021 I expanded my love of sound and chanting; studying Sound Therapy, and learning shamanic drumming with Chris Krow Summers.

In 2021 I completed a Sound Therapy Diploma Course with The Centre of Excellence, and the following courses with Udemy; Sound Therapy & Sound Healing Accredited Practitioner Course, Sound Healing Pro Course Part 1, Sound Healing Pro Course Part 2, Singing for Sound Healing & Ceremonies.

In 2022 I completed a Certificate in Sound Healing with Craig Eddington of The Sound Therapy Company.

How does Sound Therapy work and what happens during one of my sound relaxation sessions? As you relax on your mat and allow the hypnotic sounds and vibrations of the instruments wash through your body, the brain waves start to slow down, often taking us into an altered state, similar to deep meditation. This is where the body can return to homeostasis and allow natural healing to take place. There are many benefits as a result; some of which are better sleep, a calmer body and mind, and a general feeling of relaxation and rejuvenation.

Instruments I play are; Shamanic drums, Himalayan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, Earth gong, Wind gong, Venus gong, various percussion instruments and shakers.

I thoroughly enjoy sharing my love of sound with others during these sessions.  I offer regular sound relaxation sessions in various locations; for dates please see 'book online.' If you would like me to bring sound therapy to your community group or workplace, please make contact.
